Laboratory & Facility Solutions

Investigators are only as good as the tools at their disposal. This is why we built and maintain one of the foremost state-of-the-art laboratory facilities at our Littleton, CO headquarters. With over 14,000 square feet on a two-acre lot, we are able to easily host large-scale examinations of artifacts collected from loss locations. Both destructive and non-destructive testing can be accommodated based on the needs of our client and the case.

AEI’s suite of labs and testing areas include:

• • Main Lab - suitable for large, joint examinations, benchtop, and full-scale indoor testing.
  • Clean Lab – includes AEI’s Keyence Microscope with VH Zoom Lens, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, photo table, and X-Ray equipment.
  • SEM Lab – home to AEI’s Scanning Electron Microscopy Analysis and Imaging. This includes a sample prep area for grinding and polishing.
  • Warehouse – used for testing as well as artifact/evidence secure storage.
  • 2.5 acre lot – allows for full-scale testing and fire cause evaluation.
