Fire Protection

KNOW JUST WHERE THINGS FAILED

  • When fire protection systems fail, our job is to determine why. With the number of potential causative factors, including building design, smoke detection, alarms, and suppression systems, these investigations are anything but simple. A wide range of disciplines and expertise are often necessary to properly evaluate and investigate these cases.
  • AEI employs licensed professional engineers, NFPA-Certified Fire Protection Specialists, and fire protection industry experts who understand system components, system installations, best practices, applicable codes and industry standards.
  • We evaluate codes and standards, system design and installation, and electrical components to determine if the systems functioned properly. Time is another potential contributing element we consider. By including matters such as system maintenance, building upkeep and renovation work, the AEI team can isolate the relevant factors that contributed to a particular incident.

OUR FIRE PROTECTION ASSESSMENT CAPABILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Fire-rated building components
  • Construction and installation defects
  • Maintenance and periodic inspection programs
  • Fire and life-safety code compliance
  • Freeze and water losses
  • Fire damage from faulty suppression systems
  • System design and installation
  • System maintenance and service
  • System parts and components
  • Codes and standards compliance
  • Industry standard of maintenance and care
