Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy

FTIR

FTIR stands for Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. This technology is useful in identifying organic materials, compounds and polymers and adds a powerful chemical analysis tool to AEI’s arsenal of in-house analysis techniques that includes an immense spectral identification library, on the order of hundreds of thousands of known compounds and materials.  Within a matter of minutes we can: analyze a completely unknown sample of material and identify its chemical composition, identify additives, pigments, or plasticizers in plastics, sealants, or adhesives, or identify and measure the level of odorants or contaminants in hydrocarbon fuels.
